Investorist is proud to be named a finalist in the AFR & PwC’s Private Clients Aspire Awards. The PwC Aspire Awards celebrate outstanding achievements made by Australia’s private and family businesses. The quality of the 2016 entrants was as high as ever, as businesses from all of Australia’s major vertical industries presented the business practices behind their success. Award finalists are leaders in their field, outperform their competitors and have an outstanding track record deserving of celebration.
“We were delighted to have Investorist’s global achievements over the past three years recognised by these prestigious awards” said Jon Ellis, founder and CEO of Investorist.
“We certainly see ourselves as ‘positive disruptors’ in the industry, and we’re committed to continuous improvement of our platform and delivering a superior user experience by listening closely to what our customers need, whether they be sellers or buyers”, he added.
Investorist is a finalist for the Start Up Disruptor category. Some of the key areas detailing how Investorist has disrupted and significantly improved the global off the plan marketplace were noted by the Aspire Awards judges:
A centralised and up-to-date information source
Prior to Investorist the industry relied on flip books and printed brochures to present project information, plus spreadsheets and long email chains to keep project stock up-to-date. The process was cumbersome and required agents to spend most of their time chasing information for clients, and developers and project marketers to undertake arduous admin tasks.
Investorist’s entry into the market has allowed developers to upload all their project information, including floor plans, stock lists, prices, contracts and renders onto one easy-to-use platform. Agents can access the platform and see all information at a glance, saving both parties time and effort, and any changes made to the project information by the developer are immediately reflected in their Investorist listing. Information no longer has to be double-checked or double-handled; it is a much more streamlined and efficient process.
A live, real time stocklist
An integral feature of the platform is the live stock list. Once an agent has reserved a project through the site, that lot is immediately marked as reserved or sold and can’t be reserved or sold by anyone else. This feature solves the biggest problem which has plagued the industry globally, the all-too-common occurrence of double sales. Using this one Investorist feature, new projects can also be launched in ‘real time’ in multiple locations around the word, creating an auction-day hype for buyers wanting to secure their preferred property.
A marketplace without borders
With offices and clients around the world, Investorist allows users to access new networks and create new business connections in markets they would otherwise be unable to enter on their own either due to distance or language or cultural barriers.
Investorist also allows property sellers and buyers to broaden their focus when local market conditions are challenging. For example, we have recently seen off the plan property markets in some cities and suburbs suffer from poor local media sentiment along with a general softening in some international markets. Investorist’s global reach allows Australian developers to market their projects to previously untapped International markets and to look interstate for fresh opportunities very easily, thereby increasing both sales rates and organisational efficiency.
Winners of the AFR & PwC’s Private Clients Aspire Awards will be announced in Sydney on 9th November, 2016.
