What sets Charlotte – North Melbourne apart from other projects at the moment?

Charlotte is a new development by Drake Developments designed by architect Nicholas Murry. Drake Developments and Nicholas Murry, as a team for 15 years, have created some of North Melbourne’s finest developments. All you need to do is drive the streets and witness first hand the timeless quality of Drake Developments projects.

What do you think makes a good development?

A good development is in the design and location. Design covers not only the aesthetic appeal of the building, but also the amenity and functionality of the floor plans to capture light and enhance space.

There are a growing number of project marketers in Melbourne, what’s the Burtons point of difference?

Burtons is a small team of professional and highly trained staff with a managing director that’s working alongside staff on Saturdays and Sundays. Our managing director does this for two main reasons, he can give more accurate feed back to his vendors and still enjoys meeting purchasers and putting a sale together.

What are some of the biggest ways technology has changed the way you work since you started in the industry?

Potential purchasers now do a lot more shopping online before they venture out to look at the real estate. It’s also made our market more accessible to the rest of the world.

Where do you see the future of off the plan property?

The future for off the plan property is only going to get larger, as the population grows and land dries up, the only way to go is up. I have many views for the future of our craft and for what will make a marketable project, if potential vendors would like to hear it, I encourage them to contact me.
